Egmond aan Zee
Egmond aan Zee is a fishing village on the North Sea. In the middle of dunes and directly on the beach.
All year round you can enjoy the cosiness in our village and the beautiful nature, such as the sea, beach and dunes. With the encore in the spring, the colorful bulb fields around Egmond aan Zee.
The picturesque village center consists of many cozy shops, terraces and restaurants, which are open all year round.
The extensive sandy beach of Egmond aan Zee is one of the most beautiful in North Holland. A place that provides a lot of beach and sun fun in the summer. Where you can take endless walks in all seasons and get a breath of fresh air. From the many beach pavilions, you can enjoy the ever-changing cloudy skies and waves of the sea while enjoying a drink and a snack.
Egmond aan Zee is located in the middle of the Noord-Holland dunes, the Noordhollands Duinreservaat. You can walk and cycle various routes through the rolling dunes, adjacent forests and enjoy the beautiful nature. There is a good chance that you will encounter the grazing Scottish Highlanders or Konik horses on the way. You will also find challenging mountain bike routes and many bridle paths.

Visit in Egmond aan den Hoef the castle ruins 'Slot op de Hoef', the visitor center 'Huys Egmont', the Slotkapel and the nearby Sancti Adalberti Brewery. Or the age-old Abbey in Egmond-Binnen with a museum and candle factory.

In Castricum you can learn everything about the natural environment in the De Hoep visitor center. But the Museum 'Huis van Hilde' is also worth a visit.
Furthermore, you can indulge your artistic heart in the artists' village of Bergen with its picturesque center. And true sea lovers can take a look at the underwater world of the sea aquarium of Bergen aan Zee.
Of course you can enjoy walking or cycling in the beautiful surrounding dunes, which all have their own characteristics, such as the Schoorl dunes with its kerf, a water inlet where the sea can freely flow into the dunes.
Alkmaar
Alkmaar is a beautiful atmospheric city with a historic heart. It offers a beautiful center full of monuments that can be visited on foot or from a tour boat through the ancient canals.
Alkmaar is mainly known for the cheese market that is held every Friday morning from April to September on the Waagplein in the historic center.
But there is much more. The city is also very popular because of the many shops and boutiques. As well as the many bars, restaurants and terraces. The city of Alkmaar is surrounded by extensive polders and flat pastures and is only 8 km from Egmond aan Zee.
Amsterdam
The capital of the Netherlands is about 40 minutes away by car. The city has many entertainment options and sophisticated shopping streets. A cruise through the canals, a visit to the Van Gogh museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Anne Frank House are world famous and popular attractions.
